Economic pressure, distance, and discrimination are the primary barriers to school enrolment among minority IDP children.
Nearly half of surveyed households reported experiencing discrimination or exclusion from public services in the past 12 months.
Research Purpose & Mandate
This baseline study was commissioned to establish a rigorous evidence base for programming targeting minority IDP communities in Daami Camp. SOMVO's mandate centres on generating credible, community-informed data to guide humanitarian response, advocacy, and resource mobilisation in Somaliland's underserved displacement contexts.
